I think it is the same issue I had with texlive-* providing some tetex-* packages. The only solution was to actually remove the tetex-* packages from repositories (they were broken, unmaintained and not installable anyway), because apparently a provides of an existing package would not work. It had and still has those provides to not break build requires of existing packages... BTW, I noticed the 2.6.39 kernel installed as updates for 2011 has the same issue of 3.1.6-1.1 regarding to compiling kernel modules, due to missing linux/version.h, and may have the other drakx* issue (it does not boot in an i586 I saw being updated). > -- > Franck Paulo
