Is kernel-generic has some features and improverments, like you
kernel-desktop and what reason using PAE and HIGHMEM64G for 32-bit
kernel?

Now we have a ugly situation on 2011, like user install initial
mandriva ISO with 2.6.38 kernel (it's no PAE in desktop version) and
the update for 2.6.39 and not boot his system. It;s not correct. User
say "you Mandriva is stupid and bad" oan migrate to Ubuntu :(

May be we need diffirent flavour for kernel config? For kernel-desktop
32-bit with no-PAE and HIGHMEM4G, and for 64-bit such in nowday
kernel.

And has kernel-desktop-pae for users, that have using PAE on 32 bit.

It's not more complex, but i think it's resolved more problem.
