Thats a very bad suggestion, this should be a priority to fix..


Now why isnt possible to install a previous kernel version?

]$ LC_ALL=C sudo rpm -Uvh kernel-desktop-3.1.2-1.1-mdv2012.0.x86_64.rpm
Preparing...                ########################################### [100%]
error: Install/Erase problems:
        package kernel-desktop-3.1.6-1.2.x86_64 (which is newer than
kernel-desktop-3.1.2-1.1.x86_64) is already installed

This in fact seams to be a rpm related issue, can you speak with Per
Oyvind so that this can be fixed.
