Unfortunately Blackie my mail filter has been set to Cooker for many years this would 
have been ok but it seems I was automatically subscribed to some other cooker list, 
presumably the one at zarb (which incidentley I think was a bit cheeky). Thus your mail 
arrived in my cooker inbox and I assumed wrongly. It seems that you had posted on 
OM Cooker. As it happens since you advised arisel I think the congratulation was still 
deserved despite perhaps being posted to the wrong list.

As for the other stuff Blacky I refer you back to my offlist mail to yourself.

ich hab mir das mal angeschaut. Das Problem ist, dass Open Mandriva       
offenbar weder einen Befehl wie grub2-mkdevicemap, noch eine bereits       
fertig generierte device.map hat.      
      
Diese Datei sieht im einfachsten Fall so aus:      
      
(hd0) /dev/sda      
      
Achtung: Der Leerraum zwischen "(hd0)" und "/dev/sda" muss ein Tab sein       
      
(hd0)<-tabkey->/dev/sda      
      
(mein Thunderbird will das irgendwie nicht so richtig einfügen). Je nach       
Konfiguration kann die Reihenfolge unterschiedlich sein. Falls du sie       
erstellst, und dann in der Umgebungs-Konfiguration (Datei -> "Umgebung       
wechseln") als DEVICEMAP_FILE festlegst, sollte es funktionieren.      
      
Dass Grub Customizer in diesem Fall eine generische Fehlermeldung       
anzeigt, ist natürlich nicht schön :-( . Ich schaue mal, was man da       
machen kann… Vielleicht wäre es auch sinnvoll, eine       
Fallback-Konfiguration "hardzucoden".      
      
Schön, dass es mittlerweile Repos für die RPM-Welt gibt. Ich hatte       
bisher nicht so richtig die Zeit gefunden, mich da einzulesen… ;-)
