OK, this is your opinion. But I'm more familiar with GNOME's way,
because I'm a GNOME translator. As I wrote, there is an »instant update«
at the status pages, just a few seconds after the source code change was
happened in Git. But this update doesn't affect the Git content really,
we get only an updated file from the status tracker, which we can edit
and commit at all. Mandriva lacks such an instant update, the status
pages will be updated once per day, this prevents translators from using
this pages as a »news ticker«.

Well, Mandriva has chosen for a system based on that one from KDE, and I
agree with you, in this case it's a job for the vendor to provide po
files which are up to date.
