You could try again using grep -iH instead of grep -il, this will show the file name and the matching line. I had a quick look at /usr/bin/kdm, but the string must be in some library it is using, No time right now, I'll look further. An idea is to look in /usr/share/locale/gr/LC_messages, using msgunfmt on the .mo files, that's a big job ... let's see if we can automate it. Oh, the power of the command line.
