I would recommend migrating to ibus, personaly. The specific modules required by traditional Chinese users should be ibus-chewing and ibus-table-chinese, while chewing is prefered as default for traditional Chinese. For local Linux community in Taiwan, gcin is more widely used than any other input mothod platforms. However, I suppose that distribution developers need a more well developed platform for multi-lingual support. In this case, since scim seems less actively developed for a while, I think ibus should be a more suiable option. Perhaps this should also be discussed in cooker-i18n list?
