Hi Wobo,

I hope you're right, only time will tell. I'd love to contribute to this new
project (I know that you have the infrastructure enough man power to host such a
project, I'm very admirative from this point of view), but I don't like to spend
again time for an uncertain result at this moment.
One again time will tell, I'll see what you can do with Mageia and what Mandriva
will became (or not) by the end of the year, and then take my decision.

Right now I continue to contribute to KDE translations, so my work will not be
lost and also usable directly in Mageia ;)

Best regards,
Florin Catalin RUSSEN

I think this is your main error:

1. The persons who are founding Mageia had their contracts with
Edge-IT, a part of the Mandriva SA group. Edge-IT was closed down by
Mandriva SA management. Most of the employees of Edge-IT were offered
new contracts with Mandriva SA, which they refused. So it's quite
clear that they were not fired because of any bad performance.

2. The developpers and engineers of that team were not involved in
decisions which led to the bad financial results. These decisions were
made by previous and current management.

3. All persons responsible for the bad results of the company Mandriva
have either left the company long before or are still in their leading
position in the Mandriva SA management. They have nothing to do with
Mageia.
