There is a chance to contribute to both of them as long as both will share the 
same Cooker.
This way Mageia will become en equivalent to Fedora or OpenSUSE and Mandriva an 
equivalent to Red Hat or Novell SLED/SLES.

Hard decision to make at this point, love to support them both, but this will 
depends on the common chosen model. I think that to share the same Cooker is a 
wise idea, but I don't know if it's possible or "willing possible". Maybe this 
way Mandriva SA can contribute to financially support Mageia. Maybe I'm just a 
dreamer...

I echo with you.. Forking Mandriva is a good thing and the freedom to
fork an open source project should be maintained.. no wars.. But I
would like to wait until the tip of Titanic sink. I hope Mandy will
overcome these hurdles..
