I'll probably quit Mandriva as well, before or after 2011 released.

There is a bug that ibus-* modules are not included in LiveDVD, which
will cause users need input methods unable to input their local
language characters, e.g. Chinese, Japanese, Korean. And Since
Mandriva now does not provide any package list in mirror directory, I
have to download each ISO to find that if these packages are included.
This bug was fixed in RC1 DVD, but Mandriva removed these packages
from DVD in RC2, without mentioning it in any announcement, blogpost,
mailing list, errata, release note. After I reopened the bug and post
in cooker list, someone finally answered that ibus-* modules caused
hangs up during build ISO.

The problem is, current Mandriva only respond passively, or not
respond at all. They made changes but not notify users and
contributers until we have to find out that something is changed,
added, or removed, quietly. Then we have to ask why/what/when it's
been done, sometimes you get answers, sometimes you don't.

Before Mandriva 2010.1 and earlier, for each development release, it
will be announced in cooker-i18n list. If any new strings added in
svn, or be fuzzy-ed, it will also be posted here. For every ISO that
released, there were list files that list lang & packages included in
DVD/LiveCD.

Through contribution I want to improve a distribution that cares about
its community, but does Mandriva really care?
