Substitute for Pulseaudio

Mandriva 2010.1, pulseaudio-0.9.21-26mdv2010.1.src.rpm. Each time I load
PA in my hourly syslog snip it grows to 500+k most of which are PA
errors. The link below is to errors I see when running 'pulseaudio
--start' the same as when I enable it in MCC. I've submitted bug reports
to Mandriva and at Pulseaudio but nothing is fixed. I see now that Colin
is leaving for the new fork of Mandriva. Appreciate if anyone has any
ideas on some other sound app to use.
