Still on 2009.1. Trouble with my new WinTV Nova DB USB adapter. It had been working fine with me-tv on a few Freeview channels but after a cold boot today it was no longer accessible even though the system had detected it. me-tv reports that it cannot find any DVB tuners. [root@altair sys]# dmesg | grep dvb dvb-usb: found a 'Hauppauge Nova-TD Stick (52009)' in cold state, will try to load a firmware usb 2-1.3: firmware: requesting dvb-usb-dib0700-1.20.fw dvb-usb: downloading firmware from file 'dvb-usb-dib0700-1.20.fw' dvb-usb: found a 'Hauppauge Nova-TD Stick (52009)' in warm state. dvb-usb: will pass the complete MPEG2 transport stream to the software demuxer. dvb-usb: will pass the complete MPEG2 transport stream to the software demuxer. dvb-usb: Hauppauge Nova-TD Stick (52009) successfully initialized and connected. usbcore: registered new interface driver dvb_usb_dib0700 And according to lsmod all the drivers and support modules are loaded. I have tried several reboots, with the device connected and unconnected. When connected the adapter light comes on and the /dev/dvb tree is initialized. Harddrake2 hung when I attempted to run it. Running hardware detection via mcc also hangs the program and root cannot kill it. Thus, the machine can read some of the hardware registers but must be expecting some kind of handshake or a ready signal or something and never gets it. Something died? Does this make sense to anybody? Len
