KDE alt-tab

2010.1 with KDE.
Alt-tab to switch between windows is painfully slow (I have a 6core 3.2GHz
PC).
Is there any config change that can fix this?
I have tried messing with Settings/Appearance/Style/Fine Tuning/Graphical
Effects without any luck.
Any suggestions? Thanks.
