Thank you Alejandro,

I was able to download a test file but the shutdown command doesn't work. My 
command file looks like this:

download command here

sudo shutdown -h now

The file downloaded and "sudo shutdown -h now" does work if entered directly 
in a console. Can anyone offer a suggestion? Also, How can I view error 
messages if I mistype the file name that I want to download?
