Java Problems

Hi everyone,

I am running Mandriva 2010.1 with Metisse.   Since upgrading
from 2010.0, I have not been able to run any java applications.

I get the following error:

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.InternalError: Could not get visual
info

I have done a lot of searching for anything that will tell me what
is going on, but have not found anything.  The only thing I found of
any use at all was the java source code that actually produces this
error.  I didn't actually understand what I was reading - it looked like
it was saying that it was unable to find an X display to use - but all other
X-based applications work fine.

I am assuming there is something obvious here I am missing.  Anyone
got any suggestions?
