Thanks Margot and Alejandro for your replies.

I tried disabling the DVD sources before sending my previous e-mail but it 
didn't seem to have any effect until I rebooted this morning. So that problem 
is now solved.

My Internet time is rather expensive so the less time I spend downloading the 
better.
