How to make /tmp a temp file system

HI All,

Am using M2010.2 and would like to make /tmp a truly temp[ memory only
filesystem.  In MCC --> Boot --> Advanced there is a tick box that says
to clear out /tmp on reboot.  This lies and is an exercise in
frustration as the same files come back from an operation I had done
previously using /tmp as a place holder for temp files.  I really need
/tmp cleared out... is there a way?
