Hi Dwight, I was using Gnome with Metisse under 2010 and did an upgrade, with ALL sources available. So that's how I got gnome. Incidentaly, I tried removing all .gnome etc. folders from my home directory and let the system recreate them, and still got this 'feature'. Len Lawrence wrote: > Not offhand. Do you get an information bubble when you mouse-over? Nope. Nothing whatsoever. Mouse-over, right-click, left-click, and everything else I have tried does nothing at all (so far as I can see). Activating the corresponding keys on the keyboard makes no difference to this display. Brian.
