Firfox question

Hello,

Using Firfox with my new ISP has been a problem for the past year or so. 
I'm still able to pay my phone bill using Konqueror (same ISP) but I 
cannot view some video content with either Firefox or Konqueror. A 
Google search shows that Bigpond supports Explorer exclusively.

The problem shows as a spinning star-like object that never stops. Can 
anyone offer a solution?

By the way, Internet Explorer works flawlessly but I'd rather use Linux.
