Firefox = 8.0, Sun Java 1.6.0. and Mandriva 2011.0. I feel the problem may not be solvable because Bigpond's site worked quite well and then all of a sudden I had trouble logging into the bill paying section. A Google search shows that they had "upgraded" their site making Firefox unworkable. The links between Thunderbird and Firefox don't work for me either but that's another problem common to many Linux users, apparently.
