Sonderzeichen in der Konsole unter MDK 10.1

Moin Moin,

ich hab das kleinere Problem, dass bei mir in der Konsole Sonderzeichen und Umlaute nicht richtig dargestellt werden.
Beispielsweise wird das 'ä' als großes Sigma dargestellt.
Unter Gnome läuft alles einwandfrei auch in den Terminals, bloß direkt auf einer Konsole halt nicht.

Gibt es da noch eine andere Einstellungsmöglichkeit für die locales?
