Thinkpad T20 - Modem

Hallo,
also ich würde gerne das interne Modem meines Thinkpads zum Laufen 
bringen. Habe dafür auch schon ne Weile gegoogelt und herausgefunden, 
dass es sich um ein "Lucent LT MiniPCI Modem" handelt. IBM hat 
hierfür einen Treiber ("ltmodem595lus.sh") auf ihrer support-Seite 
stehen. Diesen habe ich mir auch heruntergeladen und versucht, ihn 
(getreu des READMES) zu installieren, aber irgendwas tut nicht.
Ich erhalte folgende Fehlermeldung:

Ich kenne mich nicht besonders mit dem Kernel aus, aber kann es sein, 
dass dieser (glaube schon etwas ältere) Treiber für die 2.4er-Serie 
geschrieben war?
