Virtualbxo question

Hello everyone, I am using VirtualBox (an opensource VMWare-like software). The version shipped with mandriva 2009.0 is 2.1.4, and version 3.0.8 is out now. There are 2 mandriva-rpms announced on the site, one for 2008.0 and one for 2009.1. Can anyone tell me if I can use one of those RPMs safely on my 2009.0? Or is it better not to touch those?
