Just done the update from the DVD.  All went perfectly until the final reboot, 
when, at the login screen, I found I had no keyboard or mouse.  Tried re-
running the update several more times, changing settings etc but with no luck.  
A clean install fixed the problem though, and it all looks good.  Have yet to 
try Amarok though.......
