Somehow your install of sane seems to have gone awry. As root, can you check if sane or xsane are actually installed? Example from my machine: [root@localhost nano2009]# rpm -q xsane xsane-0.995-2mdv2009.0 If it is not installed, use MCC to (re)install it. Then try the above routine again...
