Gnome 2.30.0 desktop, one issue I've noticed and can't figure out how to correct. Certain system sounds seem to be missing. For instance, when logging in to Gnome I no longer hear the log-in sound, however, if I log-in with the 'xguest' user it's there. When mail comes in the system alert sound is present but switching between windows is silent. Clicking on, for instance, 'File > Quit' in Evo is silent where it used to at least 'click'. I'm baffled. Someone on the Mandriva Newsgroup has suggested I need to use gstreamer with pulseaudio. Not sure how to configure that though. Any help would be appreciated. -- Chris KeyID 0xE372A7DA98E6705C
