That's interesting. The PLF docs[1] say that they do have a build machine; also
the homepage refers to the PLF making donations to other Free Software
organisations, rather than seeking donations for itself.

If it's a lack of the correct environment, wouldn't it be useful for Mandriva
to provide a generic tarball of a preconfigured for each version and arch,
specifically for building in a chroot?
