This was fixed, but the bugreport was left open.
Also, the error message was clarified, asking users to contact us directly.

The package was removed for a while, but now reintroduced by a different
maintainer. One advantage, among others, is that googleearth is updated
automatically when installed as an rpm.

Reassigning to current maintainer and closing as fixed.
