Yes, you are absolutely right on all counts, except for the pretext
of justification. I haven't justified a thing.
The product is for sale, the product is not free, it was not intended
for home use, the target audience is the enterprise and corporations.
And FYI, I may been rude to some extent, but I was never defensive.
I was merely asking questions and trying to understand why it is that
you all feel the way you do.

The moderator cap is on. I'd like to, in my official capacity as
reluctant list moderator, indicate that this thread is over and if
you'd like to flame me or call me rude in private, please do. I
won't reply, but I'll have a good chuckle, so keep them coming. You
may even send them to my mandriva.com address, from which I am
posting for the first time and as such I can say right now that I am
a representative of this company for the first time in this thread.
Please folks, we'll all disagree for the most part, but let's agree
to keep this thread dead and OT. Like I said, feel free to flame me
and whatnot in private, just not on the list.

Nope, you won't convince me you're right, but you don't have to. You
absolutely don't have to justify yourselves to me.
However, on the same token, I have made management aware of this
thread and have made some recommendations to them. I don't want to
indicate what those recommendations are because I don't know if they
will go for it or not but there are two things weighing in here in
your favour:
1) There's a 50% chance they'll listen to me (amazingly enough, it
has happened the odd time in the past)
2) There's a 50% chance they'll listen to you (probably higher, but
let's be conservative... we often do listen to the community)
Now, if they do go for my recommendations, there should be a fair
amount of happy people. If they don't, well, you're no worse off
than you are now. Suffice it to say, *I* listen and although it's
not *my* responsibility to be the voice of the community to
management, I have done so. Think of me what you will.
/me the reluctant security-firewall and voice of the MNF2 community
