Pardon me... the excessive drinking during this reply to crush the drama may
have generated some illegible reading.  Mandriva contains a lot more that
what is needed to run the MNF2 specific code on.  My purpose was to suggest
that it's overkill and something smaller like knoppix might prove better for
the purpose.  Concerning m0n0wall, I simply threw it out there for a size
doesn't matter sort of analogy.  Yes it's based on BSD but the intent there
was to say "port it to something like knoppix in order to work on older
hardware and be just as effective" as m0n0wall has done by building it on
top of a stripped down BSD version (FreeSBIE).  Key point:  more efficient
use of the hardware you have.  If people are going to invest in the hardware
to run an "Enterprise Quality Firewall" might as well buy some Cisco
product.

There is no such thing as "a more focused distro like m0n0wall" since it is 
based on BSD.
