How do you unsubscribe from this drivel?
I am tired of flames from Mandriva (who, then after really nasty
responses (not that they are like Microsoft in their avoidance, question
ducking, denials, defences, et. al.)).
I think if Vincent and others could learn to respond in civil manners,
even when the questions are obnoxious, they would have less flaming and
accusations. I suggest, as a professional consultant, that Mandriva,
appoint someone trained in support to deal with users rather than
allowing blustering, defence oriented developers to continually flame
users.
The reason it turns into threats Vincent, is that you reply to people in
really nasty ways that makes them angry. Your replies to these guys
make me angry and I didn't even write the question in the first place.
For a company that claims they are not acting like microsoft and hiding
behind minutea and misdirection, it certainly sounds a lot like the kind
of thing you see from Microsoft all the time. The big difference is
that usually companies are running about 50%+ of market share before
they decide to alienate everyone since they "know what is best" and "hey
we're just trying to make an honest living here so piss off" and all the
usual excuses for overpriced products and obnoxious customer lack of
service issues.
Listen Mandriva Major League Corporate Flak Types, you need to get your
developers off the postings and put your Spin Control Consultants (you
do have spin control consultants now that you are a big time corporate
operation don't you) on this.
If you will remind me how to get off the list, I will and gladly. I am
tired of the flames on all sides.
