Base line is this. As a company your responses to email should be more
polite or you get bad press. If there is a flame then you should deal with
it how it deserves - ignore it or put out one constructive policy statement
email. In my experience ignoring a flame is far less dangerous to your
public image than answering it. Especially if the answers are just as
inflammatory as the initial email.
This thread has dragged on long enough. I suggest you put out one last
contructive email checked by your PR people that states Mandriva's new
policy toward MNF2. Then it there in black and white and you can safely sit
back and ignore the flurry of heated emails.
Perhaps this list can then get back to what it was - a technical forum for
MNF firewall related issues (which, by the way used to give a far quicker
response than either your offical support email or bugzilla).

Isn't this one of the strengths of open source companies? A direct access to
developers?

It's posts like these that make people start using yahoo emails instead of
their company ones. Because otherwise they just can't express their opinion
anymore, no matter how many disclamers there are. People can't se beyond the
email address anymore.
