If your ADSL link is connected to the firewall via ethernet, then you
don't want to be configuring
the firewall to do PPP+.

You just need 2 zones each with an ethernet interface, one for the LAN =
ETH0 and the second
for the WAN = ETH1 to which you connect the ADSL modem.

  <pre wrap="">Hi,

Firstly, thanks to Mandriva for making this ISO available!

I've previously downloaded the source code and compiled it a few times on V10.0 as well as V10.1. I ran into the problem that I have now and thought that maybe it has something to do with the way that I compiled the source code. (I am not really a programmer) I've also sent an email to the mailing list without any responses.

My problem is as follows:
I am using ADSL with a Ethernet ADSL Modem. I've installed the ISO of MNF2, configured my network interfaces (I have 2 currenly), and set up 2 zones (LAN = ETH0) (WAN = PPP+).

When I select Internet Access | DSL Connection and specify the PPPoE option, I do not get any External Interfaces for my ADSL Connection even if I try to detect one.....

Am I doing something wrong? Is this maybe a bug??? I got the same result every time I compiled MNF from source as well. It works without any problems on the Beta 2 CD that I have.

Any help / comments will be welcome!

Thanks!

Werner
