Might seem a bit of a conflict of interest to the casual observer, but
it isn't really.

I know I mentioned a while ago that I was working on a secure server
project and I've got an alpha release available for anyone interested.
There's lots left to do, but the release is done to garner some
feedback so if anyone is interested in an X-less, no-frills, no-bloat
server OS, you may want to check it out.

My goal is that one day this will become a Mandrakesoft
product/project, but in the meantime it's pretty different from
standard Mandrake offerings so I don't expect them to embrace it just
yet... it needs a lot more polish.

Anyways, for the adventurous out there (and those who are not
uncomfortable with the commandline and a somewhat manual installation
method (think Gentoo)), you can download the ISO and give it a go.

Details are here:

http://opensls.org/

I would respectfully ask that if you do try it out and have comments,
that you subscribe to the OpenSLS mailing list(s) to discuss it and
let's keep this mailing list to discuss Mandrake security. Perhaps one
day down the road we'll be able to discuss MandrakeSLS or some such
here.  =)

Thanks.
