Because it's irresponsible to let your computer spread viruses. You become
part of the problem, not the solution.

This is really how viruses spread so well. People don't stop them before they
spread. One can argue all sorts of things, like it won't make a difference
etc. That's only a justification.

A windows machine is not that bad that it needs work every day. And if it is
that bad fix it. It's clearly useless at that point. Format, reinstall, run
WinDoctor because it needs it! Spend $35 per year for a anti virus solution,
or use a free Open Source solution on an internal mail server or whatever.
Keep it off the Internet.

Hopefully you don't have the same attitude, like it sounds like, with things
like cars and homes.

I know it may seem hopeless when you have windoze. A key thing really is to
run WinDoctor as MS ships a broken O/S on every CD they ship. For some magic
reason they cannot follow their own standard. Both w2k and XP has about 10
errors right of the CD. Never mind Office which I think has about 40.
Interestingly enough few other programs have those errors.
