I use this trick to maintain a 'local mirror' for installs and updates of 9.1
and 10.0 OE.

After you've stared at the man page for rsync for a while, ask for details on
the expert list (after subscribing). This list is mainly for security issues.

You will burn a lot of bandwidth while you initially get all of the files to
set this up.
