Hello, probably my problem is not right for this forum, but... Today I tried update my 9.2 Mandrake version to 10.0 and I got problem with my Serial ATA Maxtor disk. My Mandrake is installed on ATA 133 disk together with Win-XP, but I have also another S-ATA disk in my system. 9,2 version worked fine with this combination, but after booting from install CD Mandrake 10.0 I got several "timeout errors" for s-ata disk. The only way how to get the installation run was turning s-ata disk in BIOS off. Then the installation was completed succesfully. But when I again tried to turn the s-ata on, computer after choosing linux from lilo menu freezes... XP is running OK. Interesting is, that when I chose "old linux" from lilo menu, I am still able to run Mandrake (old kernel, new Gnome 2.4 or KDE3.2) I was trying to find some solution on internet, but I just found several issues with s-ata, but no solution. Can anybody help me, please? All suggestions appreciated Jan Sedivy, [email protected] -=x=- SkontrolovanĂŠ antivĂrovĂ˝m programom NOD32
