Gentlefolk -

One of my pet peeves in the industry is responses that say: this policy
has been discussed in the past in the context of a mailing list.

Please, please, please .., if your organization does have a policy
regarding version updates, security updates, bug fixes, etc. ... make
this policy available via the Web. Simply including a URL in a reply
would go a long way to clarifying the organization's position on topic
X, Y, and Z, and, IMHO, seems to be much more responsive and
professional (which is not to denigrate the fine work of Vince, Michael,
Stew, etc.).

My 2 cents.

Charlie

P.S. In the past, I have found it useful to include a justification of
the policy as well (Michael's email is a good example of what might be
included).
