[Security-Discuss] OT? - Do security settings cause this problem?

A couple of days ago Doug Bainbridge was unable to talk to the expert list 
about a problem he was having - sympa blocked every attempt.  Yesterday I 
had a similar experience.  My problem was such that webmail was my only 
recourse, but I could not get anything through at all.  After three or four 
attempts I tried an absolutely innocuous message asking someone to contact 
me off-list - I couldn't reach my addressbook, so I had to ask.  This is 
what I got back:

Commande non comprise : la fin du message est ignorée.

The results is that when you most need them the lists are barred to you.  
It's a situation that only seems to have occured in the past week or so.  
Is it some change to the security settings at Mandriva's end?
