[Security-Discuss] Will digikamimageplugins be updated to the same version as digikam?

After the digikam bugfix update for 2006a on Dec 16, the digikam and 
digikamimageplugins packages are at different versions: 0.8.0 vs 0.7.3.  I 
believe that this causes run-time errors in showfoto. 

Are there plans to update digikamimageplugins to version 0.8.0 as well?

Details follow:

The following update to digikam upgraded it from 0.7.3 to 0.8.0, but the 
updates did not include digikamimageplugins:

To get the run-time error, start 
$ showfoto myimg.jpg
Select Transform --> Free Rotation.  This causes showfoto to exit unexpectedly 
and display the following error:

digikam: symbol lookup 
error: /usr/lib/kde3/digikamimageplugin_freerotation.so: undefined symbol: 
_ZN7Digikam16ImageGuideWidgetC1EiiP7QWidgetbi
