RE : [Security-Discuss] Mandriva 2007 : Webmin problem ?

Hello,

I made some tests to determine what exactly the problem is.

I verify the /etc/webmin/init/config file for tests)

1) Installation of Webmin with media "Powerpack DVD Mandriva 2007": config
file is zero length.

2) Webmin 1.290 installed (from DVD Powerpack Mandriva 2007), and update
applied: config is always zero length

3) Delete of Webmin RPM (no more etc/webmin directory), and installation of
the update directly: config is zero length

3) Delete Webmin RPM (no more etc/webmin directory), and installation of
WEBMIN 1/220-9.5.2006 (by FTP on an 2006 update server): config is good,
WEBMIN is OK.

4) update the 2006 webmin with the 2007 update (on FTP update server),
config becomes 0 length.



 I think that the problem is general: installation or update.

Do you know if this same problem appears with webmin *prior* to the=20=20
update?  The update shouldn't have broken any of this and while I=20=20
didn't poke at every single option in webmin, I did go through it and=20=20
try a few things and didn't note any regression.
