Look at the params passed to the kernel (generated by mindi) that may create this
By default:
# MINDI_ADDITIONAL_BOOT_PARAMS="devfs=nomount noresume selinux=0 barrier=off udevtimeout=10 acpi=off"
(in /etc/mindi/mindi.conf)

THat's the only reason I can think of.
Let us know which option is causing this so I may remove it from the list if that has no other impact.
