Archive contents analysis

Hi all, I am using mondorescue for couple of years now (so far just for backup, restore only when testing archive, fortunately :-) ), it's a great piece of software, thanks a lot. Recently, my archives grew quite fast out of proportions, and I don't know why. Does anyone has any recommendation how to analyze archive content based on size? The naive solution is to download the archive from the remote server, extract it locally and analyze. As the backup is over 50GB, I would like to avoid that :-). Mondorescue in interactive mode shows me the contents, but not the size (e.g. accumulated size for folders), so that's not really usable. Is the size in some of the indexes on the media, so I can analyze that (using e.g. some simple script)? Or any other hint where to start looking?
