But, I did understand to save the log from restoreing.

It is a new harddisk, and mondo runs from a dvd. So wre to  pickup the mondorestore.log ?

Is there a ramfs on the system while using the dvd ?

Logs are created automatically by the tools.

The log here is /var/log/mondorestore.log
The point is generally to get it from the restored machine which failed.

Yes, but the logical UUIDs may not need to be changed. The UUID of a partition is not linked to UUIDs of HDD.

Well normaly mondorestore does all the job for you (by recreating FS with the correct UUIDs found in the original system). The only recent bug I fixed around that is for XFS FS where in some cases the recreation was incorrect.

With your logs I should know more.
