Seems you are missing the getfattr command on your system to backup extended attributes correctly.
You should install the attr package

Wrt to the space issue, could you try that tip: http://trac.mondorescue.org/wiki/FAQ#Q50MondoRescuecomplainsaboutfilesystemfullonRHEL7

3.3.0 will fix that correctly.
