Its quite bare now. See:-

Quite a few of the x* package are depends of xorg. Also console-data
depends console-tools. pump is in base module. Removed bzip2 and
unzip. less is well less. For etch it is ok to have xorg force the
installation of xserver-xorg.

Can spot anything else to reduce this template (or any of the others) ?
