hey guys.. im modding linuxrc in miniroot.gz with a trivial change (wording in an echo statement) and getting a kernel panic "panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(9,0)". my commands: cd Unextracted-Iso/boot gunzip miniroot.gz sync mount miniroot /mnt/loop -o loop -t ext2 nano /mnt/loop/linuxrc (make small verbage change) chmod a+x /mnt/loop/linuxrc sync umout /mnt/loop gzip miniroot ..then i use make-iso to make my iso image as normal. building my CD with the unmodded miniroot works just fine! any ideas?? thanks!.. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
