I think I'd have steered users towards Knoppix rather than Ubuntu. The 
former being the original inspiration for Debian based Live CDs. The 
latter often includes unstable (read buggy) packages which is to be 
expected when using snapshots of Debian's testing branch.

In th meantime, I'll leave Zathras running the nightly autobuilds until 
I get a hardware failure or receive instruction to shut him down.

P.S. The Morphix utilities are still useful for building quick'n'dirty 
LiveCDs - Everything else I've tried is somewhat tedious and convoluted 
in comparision.
