Well, the said fix was for normal (older) IDE CDROM drives, where the bio=

incorrectly thinks that the drive isn't a CDROM drive. I'm pretty sure we
didn't try this out on USB CDROM drives :)

Do you know if a recent Knoppix boots on your machine? We decided to stic=
k
with grub for the groovy boot menu and netbooting possibilities, however
the CDROM booting pieces of the grub code had some modification when the
developers used the isolinux code (which was in turn based on syslinux).
