making a livecd

hello, I'm making a livecd based on morphix, I'm reading  "How_to_All"
manual that i have found in

my questions:

1. (mkisofs -r -J -b base/boot.img -c base/boot.cat -o my.iso
morph_hd/) this command doesn't work for make a .iso, maybe this
document es outdated or maybe is because  im using
MorphixBase-0.5-pre5.iso.
2. if i follow instruction of  Section 2 : "Build a mainmod from
scratch" explain how to make hardware auto-detection??
